Ascend Aviation, LLC, is a dream come true. Jason has been flying since he was 15 years old and got his Private Pilot’s license at 17. From the beginning, he has wanted to have his own flight school that would offer well-maintained aircraft and high caliber flight training — And do it for a reasonable price. Jason has received intense flight training from JAARS, a highly respected mission aviation organization that has pilots around the world flying in some of the most harsh terrain in the world. In 2009 he passed his flight instructor checkride and has been teaching and gaining more experience ever since. He has also worked in all aspects of aviation for other flight schools and an airline. This is not just his job, but this is his passion and a career. He wants to help you reach your highest potential and accomplish your flying goals.

In July of 2008, at the age of 18, Daniel achieved his Private Pilot”s License. Starting his flying career in the
Civil Air Patrol, where as a volunteer he is now certified to teach in their Garmin G1000 Equipped Airplanes, Daniel came in contact with Greg Erickson, Jason’s uncle. Late in the summer of 2011, Daniel needed to find a training facility to train for his Commercial License. Jason was the answer. Working with Jason is something Daniel truly enjoys. In October of 2012, Daniel passed his Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) checkride. His goal as a Flight Instructor is to train pilots to be as good as he is, at the same time push himself to be the best pilot he can be, and inspire them to love flying as much as he does.
In 1996, Jeff earned his Private Pilot Certificate in Maple Lake MN and has had the passion for flying ever since. He originally went to Grace University in Nebraska to be a missionary pilot, but then later made the decision to pursue a career in professional aviation. In 2005, Jeff graduated from Mankato Sate University, Minnesota with a double major in Aviation and Business Management. Jeff also became an instructor in 2005 and did flight training in Mankato along with being an adjunct teacher at the University and flying some corporate. Following his time in Mankato, Jeff became an instructor at Maple Lake airport with Ascend Aviation in 2014. His hope is to one day do mission-based flying to help others in need. Flying is his passion and he’s committed to his students and helping them develop the same passion as well.
